Sushil Kumar Shinde, the veteran Congress Party leader has went on to become the Home Minister, from his existing Power and Electricity portfolio. P. Chidambaram, who served as Home Minister for India for the past few years has been shifted to Finance Ministry.

The reason behind the cabinet shuffling is not quite clear, as Sushil Kumar Shinde has got a promotion right on the day there’s huge power outage in the country, affecting more than 600 million people across 11 different states.

Sushil Kumar Shinde has got a promotion as Home Minister while the opposition parties demanded him to resign as a minister.

Like all the Home Ministers before, Sushil Kumar said he will work hard for the security of the country, keeping it free from terrorism attacks.

The members of congress party wished their fellow congressman over the promotion as a Home Minister, while the rest of the country looking forward to what he’s going to deliver in the coming two years.
